When Beauty Tamed the Beast - James Griffin, Eloisa James This book was like an historical version of a Susan Elizabeth Phillips contemporary romance. It had the same tone and feel: Down on her luck heroine, hero with parental baggage who has vowed never to marry, lots of sarcastic, humorous banter between H/h, secondary romance involving older couple, and grovel scenes at end. So if you're a fan of SEP, I recommend trying this book.
