Scandalous Desires - Elizabeth Hoyt Finally! A book by Elizabeth Hoyt that ranks as a 4 star for me. I was beginning to think I was never going to experience enjoying one of her books. Kind of like the lone person who can't see the hidden picture in the Magic Eye books while everyone else is oohing and aahing over them.

I had sworn off reading any more by her after I found The Raven Prince and The Leopard Prince mostly disappointing. But time and again, people would recommend this book for those that loved Derek Craven from Lisa Kleyplas' Dreaming of You. Mickey O'Connor (which I kept reading as Mickey Rourke - so not sexy) came close but he lacked the true isolation/loneliness that so endeared me to my beloved Derek. That small quibble aside, it was still a fun read and the first 80% of the book was fantastic. The last 20% with the prerequisite and predictable chase/peril/pursue scene is the only thing that kept this from being a 5 star read.

I'm really looking forward to reading Winter's story next.
