An Infamous Marriage - Susanna Fraser I really like the first 70% of this book. The premise is great, the writing strong, and the setting authentic and interesting. I love how practical the heroine is and she just keeps marching forward despite tragedies in her life. The hero is flawed but still very likable. Their growing friendship and mutual respect play out at good pace and romantic tension builds nicely.

What didn't appeal to me is the final conflict of the withheld secret. It seemed out of character for Elizabeth to place such importance on it when she had already forgiven him so much. It also got a little too predicable as to how their final argument would resolved into a HEA (although I did really enjoy his letter of apology).
