Never Seduce a Scoundrel - Sabrina Jeffries Mediocre read.

**MILD SPOILERS***

I had high hopes for this book based on the author and general plot description. Alas, maybe my expectations were too high and I was doomed to be disappointed?

The book started off really shaky for me. The ridiculous attempts by both hero and heroine to hide their "secret" agendas from each other verged on comical. It had the negative side effect of making me somewhat dislike both H/h from the start. It was a relief when they both finally came clean with the other regarding agendas. By then, however, the damage was done and I never grew to like H/h so I didn't really care whether they got their happily ever after or not.

One part of the book I did like, though, was the hero's fear of small dark spaces and how that plays out over the course of the book. That is what kept this from being a 1 star read for me.
