Devil Takes a Bride (Knight Miscellany, #5)

Devil Takes a Bride (Knight Miscellany, #5) - Gaelen Foley Really liked the first half of this book. The heroine, Lizzie, was very smart. Almost too smart for historical romance. She was able to put two and two together and come up with four. No big misunderstandings because she truly understood the hero, Devlin.

I liked how their romance spanned several months, too. It wasn't instant lust/love which made it all seem so much more realistic.

What prevented this from being a four star, though, was the "mystery" plot. Too many pages devoted to chase and danger scenes at the end. So many bad guys that I couldn't keep track of who was who and by the 75% mark, I just didn't care and found myself skipping pages.
